5good transponder

Have not installed this unit yet. was purchased with a python remote start for my dads 2012 EcoBoost. system will be installed soon.

i have had great experience with Xpresskit in the past that i used with Python remote start systems. the kits come with everything you need to program it and set it up.

when the product is installed i will chime in with an update.

UPDATE 1/1/13

remote start and PKTX bypass have been installed. unit is solid and works perfectly on my dads 2012 F150. programming is easily done even if you do not have a bit-writer. simple step by step process.

i did have one problem with xpresskits wiring diargram/Truck plug labeling. the plug under the key tumbler for my dads 80 bit SA key was labeled wrong on Xpresskits website. they had the terminals labeled backwards. Pin #1 was actually #4. other than that little problem, the system works great!

of the three bypasses ive used from this compa ny, Xpresskit gets a 3 out of 3.

4takes some patience to install, performs as advertised

If you're novice (like myself) and putting an automatic starter in a newer vehicle (like my 2012). Have some patience. email xpresskit for assistance. I had to follow the manual transmission programming process even though I have an automatic. For a couple days (I was working on it over the weekend of course) I thought it was a complete failure. But their helpful techs replied first thing Monday morning and it only took me 20 minutes after work to have my remote start fully functional.

I know I've seen some negative reviews of directed electronics around amazon, I thought some of them were for the PKTX, but it seems I'm the first reviewer. If they're still out their, take them with a grain of salt, have some patience and email for advice if you get stuck like I did.

I found their technical assistance to be expedient and spot on.
