Adequate, but Why the Cheap Battery?

I received this fob very quickly, and the instructions for setting it up were decent (although I'll warn you: Toyota makes it really complicated, with opening and closing your door a couple of times, inserting and removing the key several times, opening and closing the doors again, etc.).

The new fob looks nearly identical to my previous remote, which means it's not taking up any more room in my pocket than the old one did (unlike some after-market remotes that are a lot larger).

The one gripe I've got is that the battery died about 6 months after I received it. Now, I realize that a new battery is just $4 or so, but my original Toyota battery lasted 6 years before I needed to replace it.

Overall, a minor disappointment, but one I can live with.

Nice Product

I bought a used 2002 Prius that came without the remotes. I hesitantly purchased two remote, and was not sure if they are going to work. The remotes arrived within a few days. The instruction tells you to a website to read the instruction on how to program the remotes. I printed the instructions and wnet ahead with the procedure. It is kind of strange with all inserting the key and turn on turn off, then open door close door but the remotes worked like a charm. I was pleasantly surprised and very happy. I give it two thumbs up for this product and ease of programming.
