Worked great!

I ordered these transponder keys so that I could have extras around the house just in case something happened to my original keys. I have to admit I was a little leery about ordering them. I took them to the local Ace Hardware, got them cut to match my original key and, following the VERY simple programming instructions, both keys would start my vehicle with no problems. A great price for two spare keys with transponders. As an added "bonus," the local Ace Hardware didn't charge me anything for cutting the keys since I already had the blanks. This made this whole deal MUCH better.

Red transponder keys for Ford Ranger

I like the pretty red color, no way to mix them up with any other key. I could see one of those laying in a dirt bank or in tall grass, etc. Would also be easy seen on a dresser top,where my keys always seem to get lost.
(Update) Got keys cut at Ace Hardware.If you have an Ace Hardware near by I would check there fist. I was able to program them the first try. Stay away from Lowes and Home Depot they would not cut the keys, said they might break their machine.
If you need a transponder key this is the way to go.

Easy to program..

I bought a set of these keys for my Ford Ranger pickup truck. The keys came with programming instructions which closely matched the instructions provided by the truck's Owner's Manual. It cost me $2.49 per key at Ace Hardware to have the keys cut to match my master key. I took the keys out to my truck in the parking lot, followed the super simple programming instructions and to my delight, both keys could start my truck up as advertized. It was that easy and saved me a bundle of money that I would have spent purchasing the blanks and having them programmed by the Ford dealer or a locksmith. Call your dealer and get and estimate for the blanks and programming and then come back here to Amazon to save your own bundle of money.
